SKF infinium

Resistance equals reliability

In Pulp & Paper manufacturing, bearings are constantly exposed to corrosive elements, abrasive contamination, and relentless high-pressure washdowns. These harsh conditions can lead to unplanned downtime, costly replacements, and lost productivity, creating significant challenges for industrial operators striving to maintain efficiency and reliability.

SKF Infinium bearings are engineered to withstand these aggressive environments, offering exceptional corrosion resistance that keeps machines running longer. These bearings help reduce total cost of ownership by minimizing wear and unplanned downtime. Beyond performance, SKF Infinium also supports sustainability goals, providing the option for remanufacturing and extending bearing life in ways that were never possible before.

Our first bearings designed for circular performance

SKF Infinium bearings represent a breakthrough in circularity and additive manufacturing. For the first time, these bearings can be reclad and reused repeatedly, with no limit to the number of remanufacturing cycles. Using advanced Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) technology, SKF has created a solution that fully removes damaged areas and seamlessly adds fresh material to the ring, preserving the core of the bearing.

This innovative multi-material design delivers exceptional performance and durability, customized for demanding applications like pulp and paper or mining. By enabling multiple remanufacturing cycles, SKF Infinium bearings maximize output for every ton of bearing steel produced, reducing waste, extending bearing life, and lowering total cost of ownership – setting a new standard for sustainable and efficient operations.
