Vermeire Belting becomes SIMOTICS DISTRIBUTION PARTNER and establishes a large stock of motors
VERMEIRE BELTING creates VERMEIRE MOTION, a new Business Unit specialised in linear movement studies and solutions incorporating the different trades and skills of the group.
Following its great success, it signs several agreements with partners and market leaders like PARKER and ROLLON and also becomes the premier SIEMENS IDS PARTNER in Europe.
VERMEIRE BELTING inaugurates a new 1,500m² assembly plant for the mounting and assembly of reduction gears and gear motors. Thanks to its exceptional reactivity, the group greatly reinforces its assembly capacity and its position in the market. It extends assembly to planetary reduction gears.
The VERMEIRE group takes over ACIERS CRUSTIN, a company founded in 1929 and specialised in the sale of (cold worked) drawn steels.
VERMEIRE BELTING extends the capacity of its logistics platform by 9,000 to 15,000m² with the construction of a new building in Ensival which can receive an additional 3200 pallets.
The VERMEIRE group signs the take-over of SERAX TRANSMISSIONS, French manufacturer of pulleys and hubs. The company invests in a new foundry and in a fleet of CNC machines. It extends its pulley production capacity to up to 2 metres in diameter and in specialised manufacture. The VERMEIRE group also extends its sales business in France.
Establishment of a mounting and assembly line for linear guides.
The third generation joins the group in different jobs.
He develops the business of (linear) technical products, reinforces its technical skills with the hiring of new engineers and further develops the logistics and software (ERP) tools activities.
VERMEIRE BELTING develops its range of frequency converters for speed control.

Albert VERMEIRE junior (son of the founder) joins the company and signs the first European distribution agreement with the Japanese bearing manufacturer, NTN.
He develops a range of products to motors, reduction gears, actuators, couplings and completes the range with the first speed control systems.
Creation of the company VERMEIRE BELTING by Albert VERMEIRE Senior and development of the business around the sale and mounting of rubber conveyor belts. The company rapidly extends its offer to transmission belts followed by chains.
